German Chocolates -- Let's All Enjoy A Box

Learn to add some spice to your chocolate eating experience. European chocolates are all good by themselves, but imagine putting gourmet chocolates into a recipe and making something out of them. How great would that be? No need to imagine. Below is a recipe using German chocolates. That's right! German chocolates! Anyone can make desserts out of chocolates, but to take some of the world's most exquisite brands (Belgian chocolates, Dutch chocolates and German chocolates) and create something even better--that takes skill. Enjoy this wonderful recipe made from the finest German chocolates!

A Recipe Made from German Chocolates

German chocolate Cheese Pie:

4 cups corn flakes, crushed to make 1 cup

1/4 cup brown sugar

5 Tablespoons melted butter

1/2 cup water

4 ounces bar sweet baking chocolate (German chocolates)

8 ounces cream cheese

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 dash salt

2 cups whipped topping

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

2. Grease a pie plate. Mix crushed Corn Flakes, 1/4 cup brown sugar and melted butter; press into plate. Bake 10 minutes. Cool.

3. For filling, melt chocolate in a double boiler over low heat until melted, stirring constantly. Let cool for 10 minutes.

4. In large bowl, mix the cream cheese and brown sugar. Add the vanilla and salt.

5. Slowly add the chocolate into cheese mixture.

6. Mix to incorporate, either by hand or with a mixer.

7. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until very thick.

8. Fold whipped cream into chocolate mixture and pour into crust. Freeze for 4 hours or overnight.
